Well friends, it’s now 1:40am in Portland and Kelley and I just finished editing a sketch for next week’s show. Here is a quick rundown:
Sketches finished tonight=1
Bottles of wine consumed=1.2 (Beers count as 0.1 bottles of wine FYI)
50 Cent albums listened to=2
Inches of snow currently on the ground=3.2
Mice seen in the house=1
With all that said, I hope you all are well and we would really love to see you at our show next Thursday, Jan 25. It starts at 9:30pm and will happen at Mississippi Studios (3939 N Mississippi). Let us not forget that Yes Father is going to play a wicked fun set right after the show.
So please come on over. I’m pretty sure you will find it funny.
Thanks,
Kelley and Jason

We make videos. We take pictures. We take pictures of us showing videos. We show pictures of us showing videos.

We did it. We WON. It’s over. Forget the rest of TBA, it’s irrelevant. If you missed last night’s Neighbormates event, you may as well hang up your “indie cred” at the door and put those underpants back on.

The night was an absolute blast. Yes, Father was a hit. Kelley and Jason were a hit. Hello! Video was a hit. Everyone had a great time, got good and drunk, and left begging for more!

We have a special surprise for you at Hello! Video tonight: two amazing videos by Whitey McConnaughy have been added to the lineup. If you don’t know who Whitey is, he’s one amazing Portland director and cinematographer. He makes great music videos.
Tonight we’ll be showing his video for Panther, and also his brand new video for The Thermals. Not sure, but I think this might just be the Portland premiere! Be sure to swing by and catch it!

Shame on you, Willamette Week! I mean, we appreciate the mention of The Kelley and Jason Show, Hello Damascus, and Yes Father… but where’s the Hello! Video? You got somethin’ against Hello! Video?
I swear. And barely a mention, at that. If there was some way I could “retract” a hand job, I would. But there’s not, so life just goes on. But I’ll be damned if you get any “special favors” for listing the next show.

That’s right. Jason is NEVER SCARED. I’m eager to meet the winner of the little newsletter forwarding contest in our special VIP area on Thursday night. You don’t know what kind of fun you are in for.
So get that forwarding DONE…don’t be a:

PLUS: Don’t you want to know what the H this is all about?

There’s a couple more exciting things coming your way in Hello! Video 13 that I really think you should know about.
- Gretchen Hogue, of the PDX Fest fame, has sent in two genius videos for us to share and enjoy: “3 Cheers 4 Paris” and “Where’s My Boyfriend?”
- Karl Lind is sharing a piece called “Disconnected.” Very surreal… but I’m not going to spoil it for you.
- Michael Paulus has a new piece to show that might be the most surreal work of his yet. At least, until the next one comes along.
- A couple of classic animations from Hello! Video’s past will be shown. You won’t know which ones.
- The hip-hop-tacular Diabolickal will be showing a video of the same name, starring Lee Armstrong.
And finally, one filmmaker still hasn’t got his two submissions in yet and it’s killing me! I’m not naming any names, but if you’re reading this, get me those videos!!! I know how awesome they are, you’re not fooling anyone. Get me those damn videos!
